💡 Partnering for Profits (Issue 122)
Collaborating to boost your creativity and diversification
Solopreneurship can be lonely. Also, your creativity can sometimes stagnate if you don’t get enough input from others.
So, I gave myself a challenge this year. Instead of working 100% alone, I want to partner and collaborate with some other solopreneurs on a few new ventures. We’ve been discussing ideas for workshops, retreats, and more. It’s exciting!
Doing this has several benefits:
Creativity - Bouncing ideas off another person spawns variations and sparks new ideas that you probably wouldn't have thought of on your own.
Innovation - Brainstorming with an intelligent partner can help you generate innovative ideas for the new venture and also for both of your independent businesses.
Diversification - Creating new products or services together diversifies your offers and revenue streams, which is always good.
Scale - Partnering with someone allows you to scale your offer in ways that would be very challenging as an individual. For example, it would be tough for me to run a 3-day retreat with multiple guests all by myself.
Enjoyment - Finally, it is fun to collaborate with someone else when you explicitly choose who you want to work with. For example, it’s a very different experience than being forced to collaborate with coworkers you didn’t decide to hire.
So, whom could you potentially partner with this year to explore some new ventures for your business?
What might be possible if you teamed up with some great people?
