💡 Business Tip - Your Ideal Customer (Issue #67)
How do you wish someone had helped you?
One method for selecting an ideal customer type is to look back on your life (or the life of someone you care deeply about, like your children) and note the moments of pain, struggle, and frustration.
It’s those moments that make you think:
"I wish someone had been there for me at that point in my life to help me with that problem."
It could be you 20 years ago.
Your kids 5-10 years ago.
Something your aging parents are struggling with now.
Then, creating a very detailed ideal customer persona gets so easy.
It's you, but many years ago!
Or young kids just like yours used to be.
Or people just like your parents.
I love solving problems and fighting the good fight for good people. It makes serving them so much easier.
For me, this meant stepping away from serving corporations and moving more into serving real human beings. I remembered the struggles I experienced during my career with toxic bosses, scheming coworkers, and work-life balance.
So, I created a career coaching business to help others avoid the mistakes I made and the pain I experienced.
