Good business marketing is like exercising.
You can't do it once and expect to yield results forever. If you market your products or services haphazardly, you’ll experience mediocre outcomes.
Marketing should be a daily activity. Your audience of potential customers should see something from you in their feeds every day. You don’t always have to run a massive marketing campaign. Just sharing a daily thought or insight is enough to stay fresh in their minds.
Of course, some days will be better than others. There will be days you want to give up because no one likes, comments, or engages with what you post. But consistency is key!
The more you post, the more you’ll learn about what resonates.
The more you post, the faster you’ll get at doing it.
When you post and engage, you hear valuable feedback from your audience.
If only 1 out of 100 posts take off and go viral, would you rather have that happen in 100 days because you post every day or in 2 years because you only post once a week?
You can see this in my analytics. Lots of flat activity and then a spike. More flat, and then another spike.
Be consistent and test ideas to see what works. Capture the stuff that works well and build on it. Turn some of your best-performing posts into longer articles or podcasts. Reuse your content in clever ways once you have a recipe for good engagement!
